Sessional marks are out !

 The marksheets  for the first sessional of FYUGP odd semester ,2025 and 2nd unit test of HS 1st year and 2nd year are ready for display in the department .So all  respective students are requested to visit the department  to know their marks.

Our Dept's Student group Selected for Stdents Research Project.

 A group of three students of our department is selected for IQAC Students' Project Grant , Namrup College. The topic for the project is "A Study on the Financial Literacy of Namrup Area and its Determinants".  The project proposal was prepared and presented  by -

3. Miss Essa Limbu, 5th Sem ,

on 24th September 2025 , under guidence of Mr. Achinta Gogoi.

A visit to Naharkatiya College.

 A group of students of the department under the supervision of Mr. Achinta Gogoi , (Assistant Prof. Dept. of Economics) visited Naharkatiya College for attending 'Special Lecture Session on Exploring Career Opportunities in Economics and Allied disciplines',  organized by Economic Forum, Department of Economics , Naharkatiya College on 18th September, 2025. 

The resource persons of the programme were- Mr Manoj Tamuli, Training and Placement Officer , Dibrugarh University and Dr. Atul Mehta , Assistant Professor, IIM Shillong.

Paper Presenatation at National Seminar.

 Our faculty Mr Achinta Gogoi presented a paper titled "North East India as  Facilitator of Act East Policy" in  Indian Council of Social Science Research (ICSSR) Sponsored Two-Day National Seminar on "Leveraging Act East Policy for North East India's Transformation" . Organized by Padmanath Gohain Baruah Government Model College, Kakopather, Dist-Tinsukia, Assam-786152, on  Date: 18th and 19th August, 2025.

Students Achievement .

In the 6th Semester CBCS results 3 students of our department secured ranks among top 20 graduates of Economics, Dibrugarh University.

 Our faculty  Ms. Pranita Rajkhowa  presented a paper titled "Food Security among  Workers in the  Unorganized Sector : A study in an Urban area of Upper Assams." in ICSSR Sponsored National Seminar on "Emerging Issues on Economic Prosperity and Sustainability",  organised by Department of Economics , in collaboration with IQAC Jhanji Hemnath Sarma College Sivasagar on 29th and 30th April, 2025.
